54 Million People in the USA Have Pre-Diabetes

Type II (Adult Onset) diabetes can be statistically accounted for by the sugar consumption in the USA. Type II diabetes is a sugar disease and you can control it and even prevent it. You have the choice not to get this type of diabetes; it just takes healthy eating habits.

It is time to educate ourselves on just how we are affected by what we put in our mouth. We make a decision to eat fat-free foods because we think they are less fattening. However, these foods make your insulin level yo-yo and will set the stage for Adult Onset Diabetes. Do not eat white flour, bleached flour, enriched flour or any wheat flour that is not whole wheat, as they have high glycemic effects. This is just a couple of examples of action we can take to protect ourselves.

Another good way to prevent diabetes is to drink lots of water. Try to drink two gallons a day if you can (sodas do not count).

The good thing is that Type II diabetes can be prevented by changing your diet and exercising along with moderate weight loss. Be sure to eat regularly at mealtime. Small meals several times a day are recommended.

Pre-diabetes is a serious medical condition with a high risk of becoming Adult Onset Diabetes. This is the stage where you still have control. Type I diabetes is not something you can control, so put yourself in their position and be grateful you do have the choice of diabetes prevention. Healthy eating habits is the answer to preventing this condition. There is no shortage of information on this subject, so educate yourself and take action now.
