Choosing to eat more fiber in whole grains, fruits and vegetables increases good cholesterol. The liver produces the remaining 80% in your body. Some people may not be aware that smoking lowers good cholesterol in your body. There are many positive health issues related to quitting smoking. Exercise also increases the good cholesterol. You can begin doing simple things to increase exercise in your life. Park in the furthest parking space from the store to get a nice little walk. Climb the escalator instead of riding the escalator. Decide to walk or ride a bike to activities instead of drive. That will save on gas for your vehicle also. Walking your dog or someone else's dog will help you and the dog. Begin small and work up to a great daily workout. 30 minutes of exercise a day is what is recommended to maintain weight and feel better.
