Measuring Your Progress

There is alot to be said about measuring your progress in weightloss. I put a pedometer on yesterday and was quite disappointed in the number of steps I was taking a day compared to the number of steps I thought I was taking a day. Also, our family is reporting their weightloss or gain in pounds each week to each other. It is exciting to be able to report a loss instead of a gain. The old saying, "If it is not written down, it does not exist", would apply here. I can see myself being more dedicated to resist the temptation of eating something I shouldn't when I have a measured result. Now that I know the exercise I am getting is not enough, I can decide to add to my exercise routine to ensure I am getting enough exercise a day to promote weightloss or at least stabilizing at a desired weight.
