Starting to cut down on unhealthy fats because of a high (bad) cholesterol count? Try these:
Hard shortening, lard, or bacon grease - Substitute Olive, safflower, corn, sunflower, canola, or soybean oil.
It is generally known that 3500 calories equals a pound of fat. If you cut out 3500 calories from your diet in a week, you should lose a pound a week. 3500 calories divided by 7 days equals 500 calories a day. That would equal 52 pounds lost in a year. That's pretty amazing. It's worth a try to see if it works!
There is a new book out that I saw advertised not long ago. It's about the foods you can substitute in your diet and lose so many pounds in a year using the food substitutes. I didn't write down the title of the book and have been searching for it for a while. If you know the name of the book, would you please leave a comment for me. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
